LAMB HILL VINEYARD

Where It All Began

A single acre, planted in the early 2000s on a quaint country road once dotted with sheep, Lamb Hill was the seed of the vision at Rolling Hills. Modest in size, this smaller vineyard revealed the region’s untapped wine potential. The success of this developmental vineyard was a precursor to the much larger Old Schoolhouse Vineyard.

OLD SCHOOLHOUSE VINEYARD

Just a short distance from Lamb Hill, our 20-acre Old Schoolhouse Vineyard rises into view, framed by full-day sun and the watchful presence of the Adirondack High Peaks. With over 13,000 vines rooted in Vergennes clay and nourished by pristine mountain spring water, it is a site of striking beauty and dynamic energy. The sun sets behind the mountains, ending each day with a glow across the vines.

Varietals

Marquette

Marquette thrives in the Adirondack climate and is known for its balance of rich, dark fruit and vibrant freshness. Aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and subtle spice lead into a medium-bodied palate with smooth tannins and bright acidity. Approachable when young, but also capable of aging gracefully, Marquette shows the depth and finesse of expressive northern-grown reds.

Petite Pearl

Petite Pearl is gaining recognition for its ability to deliver structured, expressive wines from vines well-suited to northern growing conditions. It offers deep flavors of dark berries and plum with a touch of black pepper. A velvety texture, well-integrated tannins, and bright acidity give it both elegance and versatility, making it a distinctive choice for refined palates.

Frontenac

Frontenac delivers bold, expressive flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and plum supported by notes of chocolate and spice. With a vibrant structure and balanced tannins, it shines in both fruit-forward and barrel-aged styles. This is a dynamic red with depth and character.

Sabrevois

Sabrevois is prized for its deep ruby color and intense flavors of dark berries, black pepper, and earthy undertones. With firm tannins and bright acidity, it produces structured, full-bodied wines that offer both power and polish. Its complementary characteristics make it a compelling choice for blending.

La Crescent

La Crescent is a standout white varietal known for its vivid aromatics and lively character. Wines typically show notes of citrus, apricot, and tropical fruit with a floral lift. Ideal for both dry and fruit-forward styles, its bright acidity and layered flavors offer a refreshing and distinctive experience.

Frontenac Gris

A natural variation of Frontenac, Frontenac Gris is known for its captivating aromatics and wide stylistic range.
