THE VISION

MEET THE DIRECTOR OF WINEMAKING

Kyle Mizuno

“Authenticity Over Automation. Vision Over Volume.”

Kyle Mizuno found his calling as a winemaker during his senior year at the University of California at Davis. This serendipitous encounter led him to the esteemed Napa Valley AVA and a distinguished career in the wine world. As an acclaimed artisan of the craft, Kyle has been fortunate to work alongside and with the most revered luminaries in the world of wine — Philippe Melka, Michel Rolland, Heidi Barrett, David Abreu, and his mentor, Aaron Pott.

During his 25 years in the industry, Kyle has made over 100 wines, scoring 90-plus points from renowned wine critics Robert Parker, James Suckling, Antonio Galloni, as well as Wine Spectator magazine.

Now at the helm of Rolling Hills — a pioneering winery in New York’s Champlain Valley — Kyle is helping to usher in a new chapter for this emerging wine region. With a deep reverence for terroir and a relentless drive to discover and elevate hidden gems, Kyle brings the soul of old Napa to this AVA. He is championing a new era in French-inspired artisanal winemaking. His path from Napa to the Champlain Valley was driven by his simple and unwavering belief in authenticity over automation and vision over volume.

A recent addition to the team hoping to pioneer the future of New York’s Champlain Valley, Kyle will lead the charge to shape a wine-growing region defined by promise and discovery. He will forge a bold new path, bringing national attention to a region whose true potential has, until now, remained largely undiscovered.

MEET THE MASTER CHEF

Vittorio Lanni

Chef Vittorio Lanni is widely regarded as one of the great masters of farm-fresh cuisine. With a career spanning over four decades, he has built an enduring legacy defined by uncompromising commitment to his culinary craft.

Vittorio’s reputation was forged in the kitchens of some of the country’s most respected dining institutions. His early recognition began at Manhattan’s historic Columbus Citizens Foundation, where his menus paid homage to Italy’s regional diversity, while showcasing his distinctive culinary voice.

He later brought his talent to Palm Beach, Florida, where he opened the acclaimed Lanni’s, a landmark restaurant that earned national attention and a devoted following for his remarkable skill in the kitchen and his deeply personal expression of Italian cuisine. Known for drawing the culinary elite, it was a place where technique met tradition, and every dish told a story. His current restaurants, Lanni’s Cucina Verace and Trattoria Da Vittorio in New York, continue to exemplify the care, precision, and depth he brings to every dish. These restaurants aren’t just destinations — they are tributes to a lifetime of mastering the art of simplicity in its highest form.

A respected wine-pairing expert, Vittorio spent years at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, where he developed a deep understanding of fine wines. His pairings are intuitive and reflect a seasoned understanding of both food and terroir. Today, he is recognized not only as a culinary legend, but as a steward of food culture. When onsite for events at Rolling Hills, Vittorio has redefined farm-to-table cuisine and has been hailed as the Thomas Keller of the Adirondacks.

EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF DISCOVERY

Wine is an experience — made memorable by something new. At Rolling Hills, we’ve set out to bring artisanal, unadulterated wines back to the forefront and into the hands of those who value artistry in every glass.

When you uncork something special, you know it from the very first sip. Shaped by the land and defined by the grapes, these wines tell a story, not only of the vineyards, but of the people. A tapestry is woven that brings together those who grow the vines with those who gather around the glass.

WINE, AS IT WAS MEANT TO BE

A strong commitment is at the heart of our approach. Each bottle is crafted aiming for balance and quality. Great wine can be elegant in its simplicity.

Its true purpose is found in the moments it may create — gathered with friends, shared across a table, and remembered long after the last sip. At Rolling Hills, we’re making wines that give an occasion a special meaning. Something lasting takes shape, both in the wine, and in the memories it leaves behind.

Most people wait for a special occasion to open a fine bottle of wine—our wine is the occasion.
